About

Hi I’m Ingrid Mason, a strategist, technologist, and data specialist.

I lead practice change associated with digital transformation.  I am experienced in managing digital programs and projects for academic researchers and cultural sector practitioners. This has involved selecting technologies and tools or developing new software or online applications.  I’m a self-professed metadata nerd and digital curator who has found a work space that satisfies my interests in people, culture and society, humanities, arts and social science research, informatics, and technology.

In higher education or cultural heritage I am involved in workplace change and advancing the uptake of data and technology centric practices.  Digital transformation of research and education, cultural collection and connection is aided by streamlining communication and structuring engagement around business-as-usual, program or project work.  Taking a people-focused and user-centred design approach to all aspects of workplace activity (whether it is new technology or technical skills in development) helps people to navigate change successfully.

Support I provide as a colleague, practitioner, mentor, manager and subject matter expert empowers people to advance and reinvent their work practices.  Workplace change happens when people connect and identify new ideas and goals, and they are involved in, design and drive the uptake of new processes and technologies.

When people can confidently approach collaboration, adoption of new tools, techniques, methods, skills, and processes in their work practice, we are helping to make the working (and sometimes the world) a better place.

Discovery through partnership, research (and change) is powerful.
